if you can do it, go for it, there is nothing wrong with custom. i had an air duct runnin off my stock airbox down into the bumper where the cold air is, grabbed a drop in K&N and it worked good.

Does anyone know the O.D. of the TB inlet? I want to remove the big gay plastic chunk and make it more refined like an intake should be(and I like to see the mechanical stuff like fuel rail and TB.

I want it to look similar to this:

Eccept instead of it going into a conical filter, I want it to go to the stock airbox and remove the accordian which I have all bent up anyways from when I replace the filter....

It is part of the intake, I still want to keep the box, I just want to remove the engine cover thingy(intake piece), already removed the one pictured above. I want it to look clean, the way GM should have intended it.

Not meaning to offend but I would like a general consensus from more members, you only have 70+ posts and there is no functional rep system on here so I would like to make sure, ya know?

someones done it. i forgot who but i've seen pics of custom piping going to the airbox. on a side note i think it will perform better if you take out the whole intake and replace with a cold air or short ram intake.

if your looking for a cheap mod till funds expand alittle bit then this kit i'm talking about will definatly work out for you, it's what i want to do until i can afford the whole chit and shabang

here's what you do first go to like autozone or pepboys buy the plastic conector set its like 15 dollars then you pop you hood and take you air box off, then connect it the way you want it, its like a canvas configure it the way you want to, then take the model after it's been configured and buy all the actual little pieces and put it togther it's that simple i'm waiting until my girlfriend gives me back my debit card then i'm gonna go get it

so in other words it works right??
