Disturbing
I just watched YouTube and watched the Stock 2.2 Cobalt 0-60 in 8 seconds video and then watched a video of a 2.4 with a GMPP exhaust and GMPP intake and it was upsetting.
The 2.4 had a 0-60 of 8.7 seconds, .7 seconds slower.
I know that the 2.4 has to have something wrong with it or the passenger in the 2.4 weighs 500 lbs.
Is this common? I mean come on, a two bolt on 2.4 being .7 seconds slower than the 2.2?
I now worry about getting GMPP bolt ons.
I thought about how one driver could be better than the other, but the video shows that both were floored and getting up there in the RPMS, no faultering to be seen. I could be wrong, I am not an expert on this.

Couple of possibilities:
The 2.4 owner is using 87 octane fuel -- which will most likely cause the knock sensor to reduce power.
GMPP Touring exhaust is only 2 1/8 inch ID, stock is supposedly mostly 2.5" -- I got rid of my Touring because I felt it slowed my 2.4.
If it is auto could be starting off in "D" and the traction control is kicking in -- also reduces power until 4K rpm
Simple fact is 20 -- 30 HP is not big enough to make a HUGE difference in performance...but if any of the three possibilities above happens it makes the 2.4 ssslllooowwweeerrr...
