No. I just think it's kinda pointless. The recharging and risk don't seem worth the short rush.

I'm not very educated on it, but I don't think anything with a car is cheating if you're going to race with it. Or anything after stock should be "cheating"

I believe NOS is a brand name (Nitrous Oxide Systems) but, it's like saying "Kleenex", it's a brand but everyone knows what you mean!

nothing you do to a car is cheating if you ask me. everybody has the option to do what ever they want so if they can then more power to them.

Think of it this way. Turbos, Superchargers and Nitrous kits are all considered power-adders...so what would single out Nitrous as a cheat tool?

It's a different story when someone says "Oh I have this and that" and never mentions he has nitrous, but uses it on his run.

Just so you don't get me wrong I don't think it is cheating. I am planning on buying a nitrous express kit very shortly. This is what I have heard from some people. As far as it being kinda crappy because the tank goes empty...you "should not" need it all the time (unless your on the track 24/7 ) And yes NOS is just a brand name N20 is the proper abbreviation for Nitrous Oxcide.

HELL NO!!!

if your smart enough to buy it and install it with the proper supporting mods so it works at 100%eff then your just out smarting the other guy

BUT....

like somebody said before if you tell people you dont have it then dont use it cuz then its just you being lame!

Tofu's got it. Nothing is cheating unless you lie about what you got.

that is the big misconception.. what risk? there is a risk with everything. every1 thinks that nitrous blows up motors. yea if not properly tuned with supporting mods. install a turbo and dont add any extra fuel. bet u wont last very long. or how bout install a 125 shot of nitrous when ur motor is only able to withstand an extra 50-75 HP. now if u install a turbo and tune it to 125 more HP, bet the same thing is gonna happen. But nitrous gets the bad reputation bc people dont use it correctly.

Its not cheating, but its more....."controversial" (for lack of better word) if you will, than a blower or turbo because of the "having it all the time" arguement.

At the track its more acceptable than on the street. But either way I think of you race someone with N2O, you should race them again without it. And if you spray and beat someone who is N/A or blown, and then run your mouth like a ricer and refuse to run them without spray (if they want to run you again w/o it), you should have the bottle shoved up your ass.

Yes, exactly. That is what I try to explain some people. Idiots with bigger ego's than brains give spray a bad name. I am gonna run 75 shot tops untill I upgrade internals.

the only people that consider nitrous cheating are the same people that call it NOS and probably haven't stepped within 100 feet of a modified car.

A win is a win

If I can get to 200+whp with the addition of nitrous then I'll use it. What happens to my car when I run out of nitrous? Well nothing, because I wont be racing then. Thats like telling someone in an STi or Evo that their car is crap without the turbo or that the SS/SC is slow without the supercharger. Everyone has their own means of obtaining power, in the end a win is a win.

I think you have to own up to it before the race b/c it puts the other car at a serious disadvantage even though they might have far more baseline power, BUT, it use it if ya got it!
