sure it's possible. might be minor clearance issues.

don't expect a huge gain, or any gain over a performance single exhaust.

it's not possible to have true dual exhaust as you only have one manifold. also the gains would be so minute you probably wouldent even notice it

Im not going for gains, I just love the look. Im sure any gains would still just be equal to a performance single exhaust.

added weight + extra turbulence from the split and more volume to fill = less hp than single style exhaust

if you're going for looks though, go for it. good luck and hope it comes out clean.

i was gonna say you could do 1-3 to one pipe and 2-4 to the other and run a smaller diameter pipe for each into a muffler with 2.5 inch tips and you might per say have a true dual but whats the gains of doing that? baby exaust pipe and a bunch of pipe/mufflers under your car!

Mine sound really deep. Nothing like the normal "bee" sounding Accords. https://www.cobaltss.net/gallery/sho...&searchid=2484

You don't have to get dual exhaust for the look. Any muffler with dual outlet tail pipes on opposing sides can do that.

you will lose performance but since you're going for looks then you don't have to worry.

I had a quasi dual exhaust setup on my previous car (2.25") and did NOT lose any performance gains...infact, it had about as much of a gain as the single exhaust on my current car.

Which was CRAP!

Go FI or go home

idk how well this would look. the only reason i say this is that the current bumper has a notch for the current exhaust and the other side doesn't. unless the guys gonna notch the other side out, it which case, idk how safe i would feel having a muffler shop do body work

He is exactlly right. the only way your can have duals is to put a Y pipe on and run it but people around you wont know that they arent true duals unless they get under your car and look at your manifold.

The Cobalt I just got rid of had Magnaflow muffler, 1 inlet 2 outlets and magnaflow tips. No performance loss or gain and just a little louder.
