dyno day coming up!

So pumped for Thursday march 5th. I'm going to dyno the Balt! We are using a dyno jet for all 6 runs. First three are being tune up. Last three i'm changing plugs(ngk) oil(royal purple) and do a fuel injection cleaning. I'll have the dyno sheet of the best run after tune up and before posted. I'll also film the last three and load it on YouTube.

I also just weighed the car. 08 ls xfe 5spd. Without me it's 2726! What a fatty. LOL

Mod list-2.4 mani, lsj manifold, removed one cat, cat back which is 2.25in no resonator with magnaflow muffler, aem cai, and trifecta tune.

sadly I won't be doing 3 before runs...we didn't have skool Monday due to snow(I go to UTI) so I'll just do the tune up before hand. Still pretty cool and free! Hoping 155-160hp.

Let's not get my hopes up! I said I hope not I think. LOL we shall see anyways, each dyno is different. I know when I dynoed my t-bucket at Uti, it had a 350 and a auto trans we got 235 on one dyno and 244 on another but both were dynojet. So it's possible to hit 150+ a few with mine but another dyno could be 150- a few you know? I'm still hoping praying 155! Still I'll beat my buddy's 07 ss. He got 144! : p

ill put it this way, so far, i havent seen ANYONE with my numbers with same mods (wa is about the best place you could be in to run a car ) and we know that dynojets car vary area to area
i had cai, 4-2-1 header, 2.4 dp, lsj exhaust, and a tune...and i ran 154.xx whp
im about to redyno (need to be retuned) as i am putting on stg2 cams, 2.4intake mani and tb, lsj injectors, and i recently redid the dp to be a 2.5 in catless dp and 3" catback exhaust and am getting dyno tuned by vince.
im hoping for some AWESOME numbers

im just saying...i put you at 143-147

ok dyno is set for the later part of my day tomorrow at skool. So around 11am I'll be running. I'm ganna do the tune up later today. Can't wait guys, always wanted to dyno my own car and I'm in a superstreet class right now at Uti and all we do is dyno testing upgrades! Annoying doing it to the lab cars and not my own. Would love to have done a dyno run after each and every upgrade but this will do fine. O and those who think catback and cai don't do much, our 01 gtp gained 21hp and about 20 ft lb with a k&n short ram and an slp catback! Nothing else just that. Giving it's a f/i car so larger gains are expect but still. So I'll upload the dyno sheets tomorrow night if I can figure out how. LOL

a 01 gtp is not a cobalt. you cant compare cars like that. its like upgrading the headers on a balt and a honda. the same part was changed but the gains will be different cause its compltely different cars/motors.

notice how I typed it's a f/I car but still. You are not telling me anything new, I'm just saying the gains are that were very impressive but that also shows how bad the factory crap is. Almost a cars come with to small a air filter not to mention you ever try to suck air through paper? LOL and the exhaust was only a cat back, still had two mufflers And a resonator. So given it's a bigger motor with a blower I could see on a Balt maybe half the gains. I'm just stated it was very impressive and I never expected that much a gain for the gtp. Honda would gain less from a headed than a Balt. They have a 4-2-1 design from the get go, we have a price of crap to be blunt. Sorry if this came off alittle rude but your post wasn't completly needed but I see your point mine kinda wasn't either. Still we will see tomorrow!

I hope I prove u wrong! ; ) but my opinion is 145-150

I want to order a ca header, underdrive pulley, and stage two cams. But that is in good time, I need to find a sc front bumper and finish my honda crx si first!

well today I dyno! Did the tune up last night, got alot of smoke out the exhaust from the injection cleaning. She started to bog out when I gave it gas to pull out the build up. She be on the dyno at noon. Need to pull back some of the tape on the wires to the coil. I'll post soon. Wish me luck.

ran it! 148.38hp at 6400 and 138.88ft lb at 4900! Said I hoped and thought 150! I'll have this posted tonight.
