i think that cable throtle body has a better quick response compare to etc ??


I Feel that my wifes car cobalt take too long to response to acceleration compare to my 2002 malibu and the trailblazer that i have samething take too long ??? what did you guys think ?

Which one is better ?

i think i have etc on my 08 cobalt it seems very responsive. i have had no problems with response, if anything it seems quicker

 

I actually feel like there is barely any response time. I actually became quite the fan on E-throttles. Lol

 

meh, the only thing i dislike is knowing that computers break, whereas cable throttle bodies last as long as the cars life.

 

my wifes cobalt has a etc is a 2008 but compare to my malibu it seems slow is like when you touch it, it think ok gave me like two second and then i do whatever i want lol.

no theres def a lag. but allot of that is PE delay from the comp. i prefer a traditional cable TB

Bercause it is a little small delay very little but is there...

 

On the base models, they're engineered for comfort and drivability - the throttle seems slow to react because it's made that way.

These is no delay whatsoever on my car - if there is a fault, it's that the lowest throttle imput holds it at 1500 rpm - there's nothing between that and the 750 idle. Can make traffic a little annoying at times, but it's not really a big issue.

no, you cannot. at least not if you want it to still be a full functioned car.

 

DONT NEED IT TO TALK TO ANYTHING ELSE, ITS FOR A PROJECT CAR. MOST LIKELY USING AN LS1 TB

 

the reason the LE5 has always had an ETB is because it uses that system to control how the rest of the engine runs, so unless you're a pretty 1337 h4x0r, you'd have a hard time making all of the sensors happy.

what i don't understand is, why not just use an ETB of similar size, like one off of a trailblazer or impala?

 

Doesn't matter. And yes, you would need it to talk to the rest of the car. Trust me.

The very easy, simple, true answer is: No. It won't work.
