Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch Kit
Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch Kit
anyone running this thing?
Part Number: 04950
EXEDY cerametallic clutches are designed to handle the abuse of high powered modified engines. Our cerametallic friction material can handle much more slippage than stock type disc assemblies without slipping and fading. All cerametallic discs feature spring center dampers to reduce impact and shock loads.
We offer two types of cerametallic discs:
Normal Thickness (Thick)
Reduced Thickness (Thin)
Normal thickness discs have greater heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications such as all wheel drive.
Reduced thickness discs offer greatly reduced inertia to improve shift efforts and improve synchro durability. These discs are approximately 1/2 the thickness of a stock disc and are recommended for track use only.
Specs
Thin / Thick Thick
Disc Outer Diameter 225mm
Spline Teeth / Major Diameter 14T / 25mm
This Part Number Fits:
CHEVROLET
04950 2005-08 COBALT 2.2L(L61)
04950 2005-08 COBALT SS 2.4L(ALL)
04950 2006-08 HHR 2.4L(ALL)

yeah i was wondering, i kinda want it just wanna make sure it will handle what the blower outs out, i found it on ebay for pretty damn cheap
decided to look into it, as i havent seen a stgII listed for the 2.2 on other sites

I might have to get one of these when my clutch is done
How much was it on ebay?
according to exedy they said the stg 2 can take over 350 trq
i'm looking at using this one as well
" 279 ft/lbs of torque @ the wheels assuming a 20% driveline loss from a mustang dyno"
they said they rate them low because it factors in a buffer but will definitely work for my 350 wtrq application
their low number translates to roughly 350 BHP and since we have about 12% drive train loss we'll be on a totally safe buffer of 300 wtrq or so

bc?
I just need it for DDing and it'll make it a pain and also while yes it free's up rotational mass being i'l be procharged and love the upper RPMs it wont be a back thing to have a heavier flywheel so it doesnt slow down as fast
