I need some input I want to do a full exhaust is there a way to run a full exhaust without setting off codes left and right. Also can anyone tell me if the 08 2.2's are the only balts with two Cats on the exhaust?

P.S.

ok i have an 05 with a pacesetter header to a 2.25 catless downpipe to 2.25 cherry bomb with 2.25 piping into a carbon fibor muffler and it sounds very good im not really into the ricey honda tone im more into that subaru tone haha i know cobalts arent goin to get nearly close to that but its suprisingly deep. i went without a resonator for about 2 weeks and i was like **** that its way to ricey and raspy. i dont have alot a money so what i did is i just went to the local muffler shop gave him all the parts i bought (resonator and muffler) i already had the header on and he just bent out some piping and welded it all on for 300 bucks it def beat buying the name for 600 bucks. as long as you have a mechanic that knows what hes doin it will turn out great. my threw a code for no cat but my GM guy erased it somehow in the tune he gave me trust me man the 1 3/8 piping or whatever does not cut it at all haha its for like a golf kart

Yeah 08's(at least Cali emissions ones) have two cats, only one is monitored though(the first one)

Pretty much ANY exhaust ever made for any Cobalt will work.

I know I do for a fact cause I saw it up on a lift after I had the resonator cut out and was like WHY DO I HAVE CATS UNDER MY CAR???? and I got no answer out of the guy
SO what you are trying to say is that the second cat is useless??

Well the second cat isnt useless, it functions(not saying the function is the same but it works) like a regular cat it just isnt monitered.

Vibrant all the way.... It is the most complete kit on the market.

It is a high quality stainless header, with a downpipe, and with a high flow cat. All bolts up together, and bolts to any cat back... It is a very popular choice.

Anything that fits your year 2.2 will fit on a car with SAIR. You just have to disable the SAIR DTCs with a tune or disable SAIR with a reflash.

SAI is not a big issue anymore. We will always find ways around stuff.

No, because of the code NU6 written on your RPO label in trunk(and the SAIR check vlave, pump and pipes under the hood)

is it a pipe that runs right next to the air box cuz if it is I dont have one but I need to make sure before I order my header down pipe combo.

Yes its a black plastic pipe with a rubber 90degree elbow that goes into top part of airbox.

Your header/downpipe choice isnt affected by having SAIR, you have to remove it for all headers(well Shiney hiney claims they have one that works but Ive yet to see one)
