Well I had a complete custom 2 1/4 exhasut with a 12inch turbo 2 resonater with a magnaflow can. In the process of loading my car onto a trailer we tweeked the exhaust from the axle back so I cut it off right before the axle but since I installed the supercharger its to F***ing loud. Well low rpms sounds like an sti due to the jbp header but any exhaust systems I should look into or just take it to a local exhaust shop?
2 1/2inch or 3inch exhaut. I have an 07 ls 2.2 manual with an eaton m62 2.8 60# front mount he, jbp header 1 step cooler plugs. Thanks

 

stick with 2 1/2 unless you are going over 300 hp then get 3 inch. But then again with a good tune it won't matter that much, and you may have better peak with the 3 inch. with sti's they've done some research and they don't go 3 inch till they up there boost and go above 300 hp. otherwise they find loss of hp and tq on some applications.

but again a good tune, some rods and pistons you'd probably be happier with your 3 inch. make sure to keep your cat back, and that your muffler will accept a silencer so you can have you loud days and quiet days.

 

Yea I have the home owners ass. on my ass due to it being to loud. Im going this sat to get a custom 2.5 or possibly 3 inch exhaust system installed.

 

Kinda off topic, but how long have you been running a 2.8? How long have you been SC'ed? Any internal problems or have you started working on your internals.

 

ABOUT 3 WEEKS. no internals yet, then again no problems knock on wood. car pulls hard.

 

3in exhaust might be too much, i'd go custom try to pick up 2.75 that's what im thinking of doing when i put 60's in this summer and possibly drop to a 2.7 pulley and get a new dyno tune w/ ls2 edit

 

Yea I have till sat to figure what to run as far as either 2.5 or 2.75.
