Question Few questions about my exhaust

Alright I have a few questions/problems I was hoping someone could clear up for me.

A few weeks ago a local exhaust shop installed the Vibrant header/dp/cat for me, along with a 2.5 exhaust. He also ordered a magnaflow muffler and added a stainless tip.

My first question is..even after doing all of this work, including a trifecta tune..I seem to barely notice a difference in power.....also I seem to have lost a lot of low-end torque. I was expecting a lot more power out of all of this.

Is this suppose to be normal? Could something be wrong with the exhaust or muffler? Or could it be possibly the due to the elevation here since im at 5500ft and there just isnt enough oxygen?

Next problem, when I accelate, sometimes the exhaust sounds extremely raspy, almost like it isnt gettin enough air in there, you know what I mean?

Also, I wanted some opinions on the tip the shop put on for me. I dont know if I really like it..it doesnt seem like what a normal "exhaust tip" would be. Its not what I was expecting. I think you'll understand when I say its different.

I dont know..what do you think? Some people have said they like it because it isnt a huge tip like other cars. Its a 3 inch opening. Almost seems like something you would see on a small truck hahaha.

But yeah, does everything seem to check out okay? Whatever input you guys could give would be great.

Most all exhausts will sound raspy until they have warmed up. Especially with a header and DP. Your tip looks fine to me, Whats wrong with it?

As for the performance, you will lose a little low end but it will sure make up for it up top!

you have a 2.2, of course you will lose a lot of power from putting on a 2.5" exhaust without any FI.

qft, there is such a thing is to big of an exhaust, the header+dp+2.5in exhaust, is a bit much for a n/a 2.2
a 2.25in exhaust may have given you some more power
due to the larger exhaust, the exhaust gasses actually move through the system slower, because they slow down when they entire a larger diameter pipe, and do not flow through the system as efficiently, the car does not exhibit the efficiency and the subsequent performance gains you were expecting.
now if you turbo or s/c that thing the 2.5in pipe would be perfect

2.5 for exhaust system is fine for the 2.2.I have pacesetter,2.5 custom downpipe,2.5 exhaust system, and K&N intake, the only notice I have seen is a little lag for 4 seconds when I am not warmed up because I am not tuned yet.I notice a difference of power compared to when I was stock though.

Haha cool guys thanks. but yeah I think elevation is also a huge factor, when I go down to scottsdale or phoenix I see a HUGE difference it power. Its pretty rediculous actually.

Elevation is a HUGE factor! For instance here in slc we are at a pretty high altitude. Stock ss/sc's run roughly a 15.2 here At sea level they are running like a 14.2.. And my 2.2 could only run a 16.3 w/ a 2.3 60' last year with a catback, intake and poly trans mounts. When 2.2's at sea level are running mid to low 15's with the same mods..
