Tons of people have this intake. Heres the 2.4 intake thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-4l-le5-performance-tech-46/intake-thread-72198/ .....the 2.2's and the 2.4's use the same aftermarket intakes (for the most part, theres a few 2.4 specific intakes). The GMPP intake is listed in this thread with a link to where you can buy it.

I just put the ebay one on my car last night. It's pretty loud when you get on the gas hard. The car feels a bit peppier(?), peppyer(?)..... feels like it has a bit more pep. No real life numbers though. I had to take the engine lift bracket off the front corner of the engine for the intake tube to fit right, FYI.

Out of stock at the moment. Just wait till its back in stock and take the 200 dollars you saved and put it to good use on some other part of your car.

not really.. unless its a something like a huge tube with out a filter and you blow your engine and as they are searching for the cause they find a huge rock in the intake mani that you sucked up... Something like that..
But nothing external can really void your warranty unless that is the cause of breaking your engine.. Like if you get a cat back exhaust and a intake and your transmission shatters one day i highly doubt the techs are gonna say " well you added these 2 EXTREME power adders and that is the reason your clutch flew into pieces..."
This is just what i found out from owning a SRT-4.. But if you try doing something like a stand alone system and think you can get by... Plus i forget what the "law" is there is a law out there stating that it is "illiegal" for a manufacture to void your warranty because of performance parts UNLESS they can 100% trace that it is the main reason of breaking.. Of course you would have to fight for this at times... if you just say oh it broke because my intake is superior? and leave then yes they will say your warranty is voided...

Sticky: Your rights about your car warranty and aftermarket mods.
VROOM VROOM? LOL! Yes, lil Jimmy ur car will go "vroom vroom" (j.k.). I have the GMPP intake that I got from a member off here. It is only loud if you're in the high RPMs. It does supposedly help on gas mileage though. BTW - I have an LS 2.2L.
Someone here posted the gains for the GMPP intake, it was a 3hp gain.
I also read that this is because of the cone filter that GM uses, and that if you replace it with a dry AEM filter it is more like 8hp.
But... the guy who had dynoed this also added a offset hood scoop to let in air right over the filter after he saw the miniscule gains and it went up over 15hp afterwards!!!!!!!!!!
The problem is, that little plastic barrier to block engine heat is not so great at doing it's job.
Also, the hole where the original box used to be doesn't get air in there that well.
Making that hood scoop literally changed all of that by letting outside air in point blank to the filter.

I pondered this intake with a hoodscoop and decided to wait for a true CAI to become available instead. Or, make a 90 degree joint connect to the GMPP intake and ad a small pipe to get down into the fender to actually get some air in from the outside.
Any time the dealer needs to work on the car, I simply remove the joint with extension and put the filter back on the stock GMPP intake tube.
