If you plan on running anything under a 3.0 I would highly suggest dual pass, option b and a phenolic intake manifold spacer

Well a 2.9 with supporting mods will net around the upper 250hp range. 2.8 should net around mid 260s. As far as psi on that pulley, I'm on a 3.1 and running right around 10psi.

I don't know about cavy ecos being any stronger or not. I do know that our factory rods are only rated at like 256hp. But a lot of people run 2.9s with minimal problems so take that for what it's worth.

I'm on a 2.8 and I see between 14 and 15 psi right now in summer weather. I'm sure it will go up when it gets cooler like in fall and winter. Either way I wouldn't run it on stock internals. I ran a 3.0 on stock internals so you might be ok, you might not. You should definitely get all the cooling mods that noor suggested at very least.

I just bought a Tsudo Catback, ZZP 2.5 catted Downpipe and a Ebay Header. When i get paid again ill pick up the extra coolant tank, LSJ Washer tank, Option B, and Dual Pass, stage 2 belt, LSJ Cai. With these parts and what I have in my top post, am I good to go?

Yea, I was aiming for 250whp myself but would be fine with around 240. I just didnt think a 3.0 pulley would get me there. The guy a Easy Street Rides N Rods, the dyno, is supposedly really good. I just called them and he told me he had expierence with cobalts. Hopefully this all goes well

I've first hand seen a IRL on a 2.9 with header back exhaust, 42s, and a tune make 258 at the wheels. It's doable.

IRL = Ion Redline

And there are plenty of guys hitting 250/260whp with bolt ons and a 2.9/2.8. Check the dyno thread...

IRL is a 2.0 LSJ motor. It's pretty close to a 2.2 in the block but that's where the similarities end.

But for you in a 2.2 with a 2.8 pulley, all the cooling mods, supporting performance mods, and a good supporting dyno tune, you should be in the upper 250 mark.

That would be fine with me! Its a DD, so i dont need it to get me in trouble haha, i have my weekend car for that. I just tired of it having zero ass to it. 145 BHP gets boring extremely fast. Sometimes i feel unsafe trying to merge on the highway haha!

I see around 11psi with the 3.06 pulley and I believe 8psi was with the stock pulley acoording to ZZP. Btw if thats the case I think its time to but that kitten out and either free flow or install a high flow cat.
