Pretty nice set-up, would be interested in hearing a clip if anyone has one.

Otherwise, it's overkill.
Well this system seems pretty good to me, even though i know it may be big for my 2.2 but it seems to be the most reasonably priced cat-back. Plus it is easy enough to put in a glasspack for a resonator to quiet things down.

i just ordered mine also,
2.5'' for my SS 2.4, and I also ordered a Vibrant resonator to put on it.

If you look, the piping is the exact same as the GMPP, except that you have to fit in your own resonator.

i just got this exhaust

i ordered that exhaust last wednesday october 1 and it came yesterday monday october 6. and i put it on as soon as it came in. it sounds like the SLP exhaust but it just has a deeper tone. i like it. and its not too loud. so it sounds good tho... i like it... i kept it without a resonator... you really don't need it. the magnaflow muffler muffles it but doesnt muffle to much... it sounds good

Yeah, but its still not stainless, and its not the same size as the GMPP one is all i was saying. And if you buy just the "pipes" as was mentioned in the post i quoted, there are no attached hangers, you have to weld.

I am NOT bashing this system at all. I am simply trying to keep the misinformation to a minimum

isn't GMPP 2.5'' also with a 2.25'' necking near the muffler??
this one is 2.5'' straight through

and I'm changing car in 3 years so stainless isn't an issue for me.

on the website it says...

Although we do supply hangers and flanges with this system, welding is highly recommended. Have your local muffler shop assist you when installing this product.

this is on the 2.5 pipes only no muffler... so what was that you were saying about it not having hangers? so does anyone know if it does have hangers or not website says it does... i'd like to buy just the piping and then weld on my own muffler cuase i don't know what i want yet, as far as the muffler goes.

also never heard that 2.25 was better than 2.5 for a 2.2 i've always heard 2.5 unless F/I

i have a 2.5" exhaust, the thing with them is they are all O.D. so its really 2.25", i know i measure it...so technically that 2.5 is really 2.25" so it should be fine, also a resonator is no big deal go get the longest one u can fit, i have a 3ft res on my car

i have the exhaust on my car that you are lookign to get. the mandrel exhaust systems 2.5'' with the magnaflow muffle. just get it. you will like it. keep it the way it is. if you put a resonator on it you won't like it. it comes without the resonator because the magnaflow muffler muffles it enough. trust me. it is a good exhaust. i havent ripped on it yet, but as soon as i do ill let you know the difference

what? my 2.5 is 2.5 on the inside of the pipe not outside.. your really telling me that the sidewall of the piping is going to be .125" of an inch lol please

normal piping sidwall runs about .06" if what your saying is true i doubt you could put bends in it

soundclip?? let's hear it

It would help since I also purchased a resonator which I plan on getting welded on before installing the catback....
so if I can hear yours and confirm that I like it I'll sell the resonator

It has hangers, but the system isnt ready to bolt on, it requires welding/fabrication.

Which exhaust is "better" for your car depends on your mods, your tune, and where you are trying to make the bulk of your power. One size isnt "better" than the other.

Ok maybe, but the SC downpipe has a 2.75’’ outer diameter and a 2.5’’ inner diameter
But I guess a downpipe is thicker (makes sense)

bump for a soundclip
