Header install with problem

I got my zzp header/dp installed today and i ram into a little trouble. The senor that plugs into the header wasn't long enough so i messed with it and made it reach. Thea problem is the wires have some type of tape around them and something started to melt it a little and i could smell it so i went and bought cool tape and wrapped it around the wires to the senors. Another thing i had to ask is my cars coolant temp. is reaching like 210 it never ran that hot before the highest i seen it before was 202. So i sacred about this. The one and only good thing is no CEL light. yet at least anyone that can help it would really be helpful. Thanks

what sensor did you plug into the zzp header and where?

My coolent temp has been reaching 202-210 more often then it had without the combo (when it was always around 190)...also i had one of the wires touching the header which was melting the wire so i put some tape on it and put a ziptie around the wire and a bolt in the engine so it wont touch the header anymore

There is a metal clip that you can remove to give you more clearance with the wires. I'd take a pic but I removed mine a LONG time ago. Orientation under the car....driver side, to the left of the downpipe/header connection. I believe it takes a 10mm socket/wrench to remove.

the senor that plugs into the bottom of the header. that came off the stock headers. Thats the one i was talking about least i wasn't the only one with that problem. Yeah the harness with the snore connected with it has like one of those little plastic clips on it that i pulled and and made it reach the header.

are you sure it was the wire on the sensor that was melting? and not just the smell of the new header/downpipe? it will stink fo ra few hundred miles.

Well i bough it off a guy used go he probably didn't give it to me. lol So you all think that cool tape will work? It still has that smell like it's still burning. My O2 senor on the downpipe was like the whole way back by the flange. So far no CEL light how long does it take for that to show up? Also yeah it had to be that wire because i popped my hood and smoke was coming out. I checked it for leaks and nothing so it got to be that wire.

Where at in New Jersey you live i was just there last week down in Cape May

heres the wire with the ziptie i was talking about

The white/black spot on the header is from melting the wire

Also my CEL is on becasue there is nothing connected to the air pump since there wasnt anything on the header to connect to it.. I think its becasue i have SAI but not totally sure.

how long did he have it on? i would double check that it's really melting. buy the extension, they're fairly cheap from zzp.

i live in north east, about 15 minutes from new york state.

Im not sure how long he had them on before i bought them. Well i didn't get an extender from the guy i bought them from. Your senor is different mine is on the side by the fuse box under the hood. All i have it connected on the bottom end of the header. id take a picture but it's to dark to ill get one tomorrow so you all know what i mean. I also has it zip tied to one of the hoes going to the engine its not tight or anything just enought to keep it off the header. i also put that cool tape around the zip tie.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'm going to take a picture tomorrow while i'm on my break and let you all know what i'm trying to describe. I probably didn't make much sense. Thanks tho
