will the tsudo header for the 2.2 cav work on our cars? i know that it will bolt to the block but will it line up in the same place as the stock does?

well do you know if on the cavy the exhaust is on the cobalt intake side cause if that pic is the actual product it looks like it should bolt up to the intake side

Be wary! The listing is ONLY for Cav's so you'd need to call them to find out if it will fit the Cobalt -- or take a chance (I wouldn't do it), buy it, and try to install it. From the picture they look like they will bolt to the head. But they go up and then back down so only if someone were to test fit them in the car would you know -- might hit the firewall.

no that i think that WILL NOT FIT. i installed a header on my friends cavi (2003 ls sport) and the cavi has alot of room behind the engine (yes the engine is set up the same as ours being intake and exaust) but those headers are made so you can see them from baout.. the poke out the top of the engine.. and nayone who has put a header on the cobalt knows how little room there is back there.. just buy a header for a cobalts

There was a thread about this a couple days ago, comparing a Cavi's header to a Cobalt sotck manifold and they were identical

well, based on the pic it looks like it would bolt on ok, but it looks like there may not be enough clearance room... that header looks a lil "chunky" on the back end, and if you look at your stock manifold there's really not that much room for something like that... IF it does fit, it's gonna be an absolute bitch to get on... and what's up with that 3rd piece?? looks like an exhaust tip

also, there's no cat on that downpipe... if you want a cat, then this is not the piece for you...

No it won't fit. A guy on here already bought one and tried to fit it on his 2.2, but no luck ended up putting it in the classifieds here. Btw the flange will bolt up but thats about it. There's still alot of clearence issues elsewhere

it doesn't look like it will fit... i mean, take a look at your stock manifold... there's really not that much room there at all...

i think that could fit on the Ion...although I think we have a little more engine bay room than the Cobalts.

just measure the amt. of room at the header and then ask the seller for dimensions. if its not too thick it could miss the firewall but I would assume you'd need a custom downpipe.
