Exclamation HELP with STS install!

http://www.twmperformance.com/shorts...rtshifters.htm

Ok i am using these twm intructions and i flew threw the entire thing until this point. I am stuck on step 14 which tells you to remove the cables. But it really doesnt show how. anyone else know how to get these off? I am right in the middle of doing this and can not figure it out. I know its winking me in the face but i cannot get the shifter cables loose.

Also the below picture kinda helps. Where i circled in red at the bottom of the shifter, it is sitting in the little grey and black housing at the end of the shift linkage. do I just PULL the linkage off the ball at the bottom? Help would be much appreciated

You kind of have to get under the clip with your finger nail or a small flat head screw driver. It will pop up and you can easily slide it off.

I can't see your pic, but if it is what I think, you leave it popped in and just pull it up and out when it is unclipped from the shifter cable.

I can't see the picture posted. It is blocked by my filter. I would say yes because that is what I think it is, but I can't confirm because I can't see what you have circled. Try hosting the picture here to the cobalt site. I can see those images

Yes,pop it up and pull out,but just remember that the white clip just pops up but doesn't come off completely.Once you pop it up just slide the cable out, hope this helps.

Just the one on the right as your looking @ the cables from the rear.

And as mentioned just take a small screw driver and pop the end loose, just make sure to mark its current position (helps out imho when putting it back on)

well on mine sts i broke one of them. the way i figured it out is relly look at. like grab the clip try to twist it so u can see how it works and fits. but the clip where you pop off is the closest one to ur dash...trust me ur fingers are going to kill mine did. but the clip has a lil gap in front at the very bottom and it just un clips. its harder to put it back together.......well good luck

The Springs go in vertically underneath the cables, not around them.
