get the magnaflow high flow cat, just dont buy it from magnaflow.com, cus they are way too overpriced

let us know how it works out 4 u

you could also get the XTC downpipe with cat at www.Cobalt-Addiction.com

Well actually, the stock SS/SC cats have been having problems with clogging. And if a clogged cat goes unchecked then you can really endanger the life of your engine.

But to be fair it seems to be more of a GM cat thing and not jsut an SS/SC thing. So swapping to an aftermarket hi-flow cat would be a VERY wise investment. Not only in performance but also in engine-life.

go with the XTC no probs with cels or anything... great product. plus it doesn't have the raspy sound the magnaflow cats have (they use vibrant ss ones)

I have a Vibrant one and it sucks. I custom made a downpipe with the stock flex flange and a modified rear flange for a full 2.5" mendral bent downpipe. The Vibrant cat causes my exhaust to sound like a damn honda and throws CEL's all the time. I'm going with the XTC one when I return home.

will you pass emissions with an aftermarket cat? the lame people at m local muffler shop not only told me they couldnt put it on, b/c it would be illegal, but it would void my warranty and i would fail emissions
