Thoughts?

I need to quiet this thing down and get rid of some of this rasp lol.
I want it loud, dont get me wrong, just not 10 blocks away wtf that things loud lol

 

I had a straight pipe cherry bomb on my old 318 and liked the sound. I also like the magnaflow on this car. But both of them on their own is loud as ****, so both together?? = win?

 

im not sure. idk what exhaust im running as it is lol

 

i found this.. so some people have done it.
i think it should be a good cost effective way of bringing the rasp and tone down a bit, with allowing her to scream a few blocks over when i like.

 

Well i did it. $110 all said and done and wow does it soud good. No rasp at all, sounds deep and mean with still havig a nice pitch when i punch it.
Anyone in the same boat as me, make this investment you will love it. Not as loud as i thougjt it would be still, but no complaints still

 

I am installing a ZZP 2.5" into a ZZP" 3 inch DP this weekend with the ZZP shorty header. I'll take some video of the sound (I'm trying to quiet mine down) if that's helpful.

 

what muffler did you guys use? and you just cut out a section of your exhaust after your dowpipe and put the cherry bomb in? then cut of your muffler and but a magnaflow on? any more vids?

 

I ended up retaining a high-flow cat and used a cheap shitty eBay twin loop muffler. Here's the vid from a few years ago:


I'm trying to upload a video of it currently, but the mic has been blown out on my dash cam it seems. May have to use my phone.

 

Look into the spiralflow mufflers. They reduce noise and not flow

I welded a new cat back on.

Cat > cherry bomb > magnaflow and I like it a lot. Almost No drone, much quieter. I should be able to handle 7 hr drives now . ( doing one of those on the 18th )

It was way to loud before. Lol. Took me awhile to realize. Drove me absolutely nuts
