Hot Supercharger!!!!

Hey guys real simple question... does anyone elses supercharger get hot to the point where you can leave your finger or hand on it for like a second and a half? mines getting what seems to me wayy hot (i know it gets hot but i dont think it should be getting this hot) and im wondering what could be some issues... thanks.

Ive been wondering the same thing about my car running hot, what should your coolant temps be at?

when will anyone learn your DIC's coolant readout has NOTHING to do with you superchargers cooling system

completely different system! Op it's normal don't worry about it

ps- my blower inlet is cold to the touch after a wot run

I know it has nothing to do with the suoercharger i was just wondering what it should be running in terms of coolant temp

we have an aftercooler... The **** itsnt cooled BEFORE it gets to the blower.. Aftercooler... After... Cooler

i know it has nothing to do but am just saying cuz if it goes over 221 then there is somekind of trouble...mines has gone that high in traffic but it goes down rightaway...plus we live in like desert temps...

it's really not a big deal I've seen mine up to 220 before, phoenix IS the desert it doesn't get much hotter anywhere

if it's really a concern get a radiator flush and swap out the old coolant for new

either way what I just said has nothing to do with the op

just changed the sc oil (needed it) but its still pretty hot. does it maybe have anything to do with the iats? i dont know what they are

Cooling mods = S/C not hot anymore

-Bigger heat exchanger, Dual Pass, Meth

Hot S/C is normal. Unless you do some cooling mods, this will not change

nononononoooo we have an AFTER cooler, the blower isnt going to get any cooler if you are cooling the air AFTER the blower

want a cool blower? run water injection

im guessing thats what it must be because its hot! you cant even touch it so id imagine that means no good iat's

small pulley = hot supercharger. its fine...
when i ran 11psi it was just warm. When steve runs 17psi it gets hot as ****. Same ****... Cooling mods wont do anything t fix this unless you're spraying something pre-blower

you can cool the blower down by running meth before the the sc
