how to for 2.2 supercharging
how to for 2.2 supercharging
Well i thought I would let everyone know im making a pretty detailed How To on supercharging a 2.2l Cobalt, right down to creating your own wiring harness for the injectors. I have the next 2 weeks with only closing shifts at work, so i will be working on it daily until my car is supercharged. Hopefully this makes it easier to follow in the fiture for other 2.2's. I'll keep you guys updated with what I get done on a daily basis, usually at night like this. Today, i installed 42# injecotrs and created a custom wiring harness using the stock one and the harness used on a SS SC for those injectors. I have plenty of pictures as well. Tomorrow or thursday, i will begin removing the bumper, stock intake, stock manifold, etc.
wish me luck guys, as I've never done anything this advanced before....

Yes, I am using the M62 to supercharge the car. Unfortunately not a lot got done today due to a work party early in the day and then work at night. I did however upload the trifecta tune and the car started up and runs fine now on my 42# injectors. As stated in the OP, i'll begin disassembly tomorrow morning.
i hope i dont break my 2.2 also...lol

good luck, i didnt know vince could tune for a s/c already, i though he hadtn had a chance to work on a s/c 2.2??? oh well keep us updated, i tried both routes and decided to stay n/a
im his first SC tune. Ive already gt a base tune loaded, so once the SC is on, were gonna fine tune it. then I can make adjustments later with my piggyback. Off to disassemble some things
Next thing you know, my wing is gonna be in front of me...

yup that just about what the 2.4 looks like torn apart too... we started on my buddy's
2.4 SS and after we got it torn down and ready for build, he ran into money issuses and could afford to buy the little bits and peices that he didn't already have. IE- nuts, bolts, fittings, and the little **** like that. He also didn't take into thought that the tune would cost a good penney. So we ended up putting back together, he traded it in and got the TC... It would have been sweet to get done for real
