how is this compared to twm. i mean for more than half the price, would it be worth it?

im pretty sure its not the same setup, thats why the TWM wont fit the SS

That has a different style of reverse lockout than the SS.

I've read on other car forums that those cheap ebay short shifters break during hard shifting...

so I decided not to chance it and should have my TWM on Tuesday

some will say that

I personally think its BS since the shifter is actually traveling less than before (hence the term short shifter) but people will have their opinions. If you can change your driving style to accomodate the short shifter and shift properly I don't see why there would be any problems.
