Im looking for free horespower
I am running a race truck in a spec class with a 2.2l ecotech tuned to 200hp.
If anyone has advice on how to get free hp out of this engine with out doing anything to the block advice will be grealty appreciated.

there is a baffle in the intake's bottom portion, the part tht goes under the air box, inside your passenger fender, remove it, there is a how to in the how section, remove that and it will give u better throttle response...you could always take your filter off...lol, but i dont recomend it...cheap power is to do the airbox mod, also a how to for that...look around man, but you wont get much more than sound and show, unless u wanna spend some cash
moneys not a big deal, it is a trophy truck that i have the engine but we are limited on what we can do to the engine. transmissions are open in this class so i have built a badass transmission for it
i cant do any modifications to the block, only add ons such as intake and just looking for a few horsepower additives here and there, im not looking for a 50hp gain or anything like that
Neutral shafts or balance shaft delete is not really touching the motor. its removing rotational mass, freeing up horsepower. Just about the only "free" horsepower your going to get outta the L61.
Please, dont call me a retard, you dont see me sayin **** like that to you.
Thanks Slowbalt.

Kinda... your not boring the motor, so why not switch out the pistons for a higher CR? Why not take advantage of it with say a 12:1 CR and run race gas. you could get a hell of a lot more outta the motor without actually doing any work to it. You could even keep the stock rods. But honestly it all depends on the requirments of the class hes in. If hes making 200hp on a bone stock L61 he had to have done something to it to get that much power out of it. And if he didnt do pistons and cams id love to know what he did. Spin it to 8,000+rpms? But that wouldnt work with the stock cams.

and on an n/a motor with stock CR and no juice c16 isn't gonna do jack **** besides cost way more.
he's probably running in some kind of super stock class or something. don't know about this kinda racing, but he said he can't touch the block and when i asked long block he agreed. That means stock rotating assembly, valvetrain, heads, bore, stroke, etc.
