T Dawg-Most of the time with any time of mod that improves air flow you will possibly gain a mpg or to or at least stay even, once you get to the much larger mods ie piston rods etc, that is when you begin to burn fuel faster.

I previously had a 1996 Z24 with Injen Short Ram got 32-33 MPG still on highway.

Let us know if you want in on this!

I don't know much about mods and what not so I have a few questions.

First, what does this do to the Warranty on my car? The dealer told me no engine mods of my warrranty is void.

Also, how difficult is it to put this on?

As far as the warranty goes that is between you and the dealership, some will work on it some wont.

As far as we know it will be very easy to install. It comes with a full set of instructions as well.

Wikky dont worry about just let us know when you are ready to order we will hold on for you.

NGASales: The only concern I have is the CEL codes throwing, as was mentioned earlier. Have you incountered this problem, if so, I'm assuming you have addressed it. Either way, I would just like to have your input. I am very interested, so this is really the only thing holding me back....thanks

Jive: My Injen rep said they had zero problems with the intake installed on the car! But then again he is trying to sell the product. I have probably sold over 100 Injen takes to local kids and never heard of one have any issues so far, now that is not to say it could not happen, but Injen tries to make their intakes with the least amount of problems. I installed on my previous Z24 and never had one issue. Thing increased power and sounded great!

Let me know if that helps

I had an injen intake on my previous car, 2001 mitsu galant, i absolutely loved the thing. It sounded awesome, got better mpg's, and a tad quicker(hardly noticeable on my super slow car) but it was well worth the $175 dollars i paid. once an injen intake comes out for the SS ill be all over it

I would love one, but I am currently looking for a new job and have a wife and two kids, so it'll have to wait.

Had a couple questions since it appears I have a little more time to consider the mod than I first thought.

Firstly, I believe I misunderstood how sales to Canada are handled. How will the price of the CAI itself change as well as shipping charges?

Second, does Injen have any plans to release models in the future to further increase the hp and torque gains, or is this pretty much going to be the most they can get out of the intakes?

And finally, will adding this to my LS void my warranty, or will it still hold?

Thanks,

Permafried-

I'm going to have to compare engine bays of the ION and Cobalt and see if this will work for the ION's, I know the short ram part of it will, curious as to whether the whole cold air assembly will work. From pictures it seems it will.
