Installed 2.4 Manifold on my 2008

I just installed my manifold, and the install went smooth. No extra parts needed, but I dont see what the big deal is all about. It pulls a little harder at the top, but.....maybe I was just hoping for a bigger difference....I cleared the "keep-alive memory" so maybe I just need more time for the PCM to adjust to the changes....

Was anyone else kind of just...."eh" about the manifold after the install?

it is definitely a mod worth doing. its cheap and easy to do. later on, if you ever get tuned you'll be glad you did it.

What other mods do you have? If the intake is all that you have it will not be as impressive. The intake compliments a freer exhaust and CAI/SRI intake.

actually. it would.

we would see the typical upward curve @ 6500, rather than the huge drop with the stock intake mani. taking a look at a dyno test of your car would let u very obviously see your power in relation to rpm and the air to fuel ratio being hit at that time. i think the biggest thing your having a problem with is that with PE Delay on stock tune, your not getting the power as immediately as you should.

It seems to be pulling a bit harder now that I have driven it a few days. Im going to do some more bolt ons and leave it at that. FI would be nice, but I just want a fun daily driver....not a race car. :O)

did you follow Mavens how to when you installed this?

also did you need to buy the Spacer Plate Kit?

I didn't follow any instructions, and I didnt need any special parts. I got everything from a blown up 2.4.

theres no way you pulled an intake manifold off of a 2.4 and slapped it on your car..
you need the spacer or it wont even bolt up. you sure it wasn't a 2.2 manifold?

the 08 tb's are not the same as the 06 which i do believe is the reason why it was a straight swap. that has been discussed before.

Positive. I took it off the engine myself. And I did notice a difference, but the initial difference was a bit disappointing...after a few days of driving the high-rpm gain is quite noticeable.

Where can I find a p/n for this specific intake since the 08 2.4 is a direct swap for the 2.2 of same year? CEDP doesn't have any info on whether their kit will work on the 2008's. Thanx!!

just buy a 2.4 intake manifold then, oem replacement
i would imagine ced can sell you just the manifold without the spacer kit

i'd say look at the yards before you spend good money. seen a lot of wrecked balts all over the place you might be able to get it for a steal.

Maybe in IL, I haven't seen a Cobalt in the wrecking yard at all around me.
