intake and/or chip

i want to buy a K&N intake and a Jeg's performance chip stage 1 for my 05 2.2L but want to know which one i should buy first or should i just buy them both at the same time

intake, the gains with the chip are gonna be pretty minimal/inconclusive

Check the classified section. THeres an K&N and Injen intakes for sale. Dont get a chip. Complete your mods and then get a tune

Those Jet chips seem so iffy. for the money i'd get the trifecta tune before a Jet chip

Ok here goes the chip bashing again. enough guys... if he wanted a full out tune, he would get that. Just answer his questions and don't bash on a canned tune cuz you guys "think" they are garbage. Look around the site... there are more and more members who are getting them EVERYDAY! and enjoying the gains.

But to your question. Get the intake, at the moment Jet's Performance Module does not fit a 2.2. I just spoke with both companies (Jet and Jegs) and if you go to Jet's site, you will notice that they no longer list the module as fitting 2.2's. This is due to yours truly. I ordered the module, went to install, and it did not fit.

They are working on a design that will fit the 2.2 cobalt. but they say it will take a couple months. So get the intake and save up and when the new module comes out, pick it up.
