Intake question

Hey, I want to start by putting an intake on my cobalt, i guess a short ram intake, not cold air. I want one that is not too expensive but still a good product, and will an intake void my warranty? Thanks

Some dealerships say it will and some wont, my dealer told me a cold air intake will not void my warranty, and besides if you car has to go back to the dealer for work, just put the stock airbox and everything back on so they wont ever know, this will be easy with a short ram.

only if the intake causes the problem... if you have problems take it off. return it to stock... and take it in... problem solved....

From the AEM website

No it will not. The only time this can happen is if the system was installed improperly and caused damage to the vehicle. If a service technician denies your warranty claim based on the fact that the car has been modified and the failure was not a direct result of the installation and use of an AEM product please refer him to the SEMA web site for a review of the Magnusson Moss warranty act. injen and if you kept the stock airbox you can just switch it out if you need to go back for serious repairs.

agreed, the nice thing about injen is that you can set it up as a short ram intake or a cold air intake.
