As far as ease of installation for the chip, it took me longer to disconnect and reconect the battery than it did to put the chip in place.

Can you post a pic of your ECM and the connector you installed it in?

i read the jet chpi requires high octane gas, also it's meant for a highflow exhaust and definately an air filter. i am considering this mod but do not want to pay more at the pump because it requires higher octane, maybe better gains on higher ocatane but if it's required. F- it

I believe the JET recommends 91 octane or higher. As far as noticing a difference, I noticed a little...not much though cause I have no other mods to my car. Did manage four miles an hour more on my top speed run though over stock.

stage one can run 87, they suggest 89 for better results... 91 is only for stage 2.

and you do realize that the difference between grades is $0.10 right? If you run 89 instead of 87.... on a full tank its an extra $1.30. If that is going to break the bank... you shouldn't be modding your car.

What's the point in getting a Jet Chip Module if you don't plan on using the Chevy-recommended 91 octane fuel? Using 87 octane fuel will reduce your power because the engine will knock in WOT conditions and the knock sensor will retard timing to keep from damaging your engine. Power is reduced considerably (with or without the module).

I was talking from the 2.2 perspective.

yea... I don't plan on getting stage 2... at least not at this point. but stage 1 i dont mind spending an extra dollar at the pump per tank.
