It happens every time you drive the car or for the first couple of miles when you first get the exhaust put on?

it will last until the muffler is properly broken in. Give it time.

I'm contemplating whether to get the performance or touring. performance is cheaper but with a tone that I dont know if i would prefer compared to that deep tone of the touring.

Where did you get it? according to GMPartsDirect.com the Performance is about $90 cheaper than the Touring.

This may be a dumb question but on cobalt addiction it just says its for all models of the 2.2 & then the 2.0. Does this fit the 2.4, anyone know? I would assume so but i want to make sure.

It is for all models, but try crate engine depot, the performance/touring I think is going for under 3 hundred

I got it Performance and love it. The smell will go away as well as the smoke, just like others have said.

As for the GMPP at CED being less then 300?!? I bought mine from them during the group buy last month, and it was like 350. So for less than 300, would seem a little outrageous, but ok. I'm happy that I didn't have to pay full price.

P.S. I'm not accusing you g5mike of anything, just, I couldn't see Tom putting it below 300 and still make a deal, unless he has an aslload of them!

Cobalt-Addiction says that the part number ends in 1, which is the performance exhaust. Price matches, but I don't see the tourning exhaust? You sure that you don't have the performance exhaust?

GM part numbers are shown here.
