Get a different resonator than your stocker or it will sound a little on the raspy side.

Buy some ear plugs!

I had a straight through muffler on a 2001 Prizm LSi, and it made my ears bleed.

I had a HUGE resonator added and it still was way too loud.

I then added a 2nd resonator, and I needed another exhaust hook installed due to the weight, and it still was too loud!!!

I even bought some sound dampening material for the trunk, and it too was a no go.

I had to buy a turbo muffler after 2 months of driving with the straight through muffler, I was getting a ringing in my ear everytime I drove the car.

It made a big difference in up and go though, although I did do a 2 1/4 inch complete exhaust less the header on it.

pull the silencer out and pull off the resonator she will be deep and sound bad ass. idi mine like that....2.25 catback no res. with obxr that has 3 inch in 4.5 out.sounds really really good and deep with no rasp or "rice" as others would say!2.5 is a bit much if your running n/a.we ran 2.5 on a focus zetec and lost lots of power.2.25 is perfect on mine

I'm not a fan of those type of mufflers myself. I have not heard any of them that didn't sound horrible. I've heard HKS, Apexi, Greddy and other knockoffs as well. I'll stick with good old Magnaflow. They always sound awesome on 4cyl and 6cyl cars. V8's are just amazing period!! I used the Magnaflow 5x8x14 full polish muffler offset in/center out with 2.25" sizing and a 4" double walled tip. Sounds great with factory resonator still in place. No rasp just clean, deep and mellow. Can't hardly hear it on the highway or at speed, until you stick some foot in it.
