Don't mind the MAF cleaners.... they are the ones that "OVER" oil the filter! I've had a K&N for 2 years now with ZERO issues!

That is exactly correct. If you don't over oil it, you should never have a problem.

the injens take oil too and i've cleaned mine twice so far with no issues at all. it may not be so much an issue of over-oiling but rather an issue of not allowing proper drying time between the intial wash and then allowing time for the oil to set.

Oiled filters and MAF have a reliability factor of 0.000000000000000000001

And your proof and information on this...... me along with others have been running oiled filters ie: K&N or Injen with no issues.

Soooo, if you OVEROIL these filters then you will have issues.

I have used K&N filters in my cars for the last 10 years, and have never once had a single problem.
Just dont be dumb and use a whole can of oil and it will be all good.

i suggest reading this. the maf/oil thing is a myth. dealers trying to scare you into not using aftermarket filters.

http://www.knfilters.com/MAF/massairpledge.htm read it and the links at the bottom.

if, mind you IF, your dealer says your maf is ruined because of the filter, K&N will take care of you...then go after the dealer for being retarded.

i llike the last part on the secong link at the way bottom, K&n oil has never been proven to be the cause of failed MAF" they make a very good arguement too, most dealers dont have tools to test out a MAF

Sure if you like intakes that don't fit right! Atleast for the SS/SC they only had to remake the intake 2-3 times!

you DO realize this is the 2.2 tech section right...we weren't discussing SS/SC intakes at all; just you.

i think it's rather naive that you would believe a manufacture saying their product does this and tha...just a thought...

well when they put it in writing im inclined to believe it. they wouldn't be so stupid as to put something false like that in writing...they're willing to back up their product against a dealer, they must be confident in their product. ive used k&n for years on many different cars, never once had a maf issue. i clean and re-oil mine at every oil change.
