Looking for 2.2L Owner For Free Upgraded Part
As many have read some 2006 2.2L Chevy Cobalt engines have an air injection port on their stock exhaust manifold. Pacesetter has contacted us to help them get this problem resolved. Here is what we are offering and required:
1) You must have the 2.2L Cobalt with the air injection on your stock exhaust manifold.
2) You purchase a Painted Pacesetter header part number 70-1272 from us at online price.
3) You then would install the header, this header will not have air injection port; you would need to have the air port blocked off (this would be your full responsibility to figure out how to do) you most likely will have a check engine light for the time being.
4) Next, with our help, get in contact with pacesetter (Eric R) and send him your stock exhaust manifold, heat shield, and the air injection solenoid, with the pipe that leads to the air pump.
5) Pacesetter will then design a header to work with the 2.2 air injection cobalt models.
6) In return they will send you back a FREE 2.2L CERAMIC ARMOR COATED HEADER. So you pay for the painted header and in the end, for your help, you get a Ceramic coated header with the air injection port. You also help out the Cobalt community significantly.
If you have questions or would like to help Turbo Tech Racing and Pacesetter, please email us at Aaron@TurboTechRacing.com
Once someone is chosen we will post to let you know this proposal is no longer valid.

We just need one cobalt owner, that has the 2.2 and air injection. So once someone says they will, we will not need anyone else. Basically first to purchase one, that states they will do it gets it.

I would also estimate it will take pacesetter 4-6 weeks to get a revised header to you (once they get your stock items) with the air injection port on the header. Unless Eric post differnt this would be our best guess.

well id just leave the air port open , if anything thing put a filter on it
we do need the stock manifold and the line or what ever it is mounted to the manifold
you would most likely be with out it connected , and having the ses light for a few months , so you will want to make sure that you do not have to worry about your tags or going through emissions during that time

I have the ZZP header installed, and if you guys want, i'll donate my old SAI header and whatever else you need, provided i get it back (i plan on going back to stock before i sell the car in a couple years) and you pay shipping....still probably saves you money over giving me a free header. Im just looking to help out the community
If I can get the money together for the header(times are tight you know) I would be more than happy to do this. I work at a dealer so I should be able to get the sai system deactivated until I get the other header back. If noone else gets into it before then, that is.
