2.2L L61 Performance Tech 16 valve 145 hp EcoTec with 155 lb-ft of torque

Looking for advice on best bargain big brake kit.

LOL alley. I had brembos on my z24. Loved em , just dont have the cash for fork up.

I just figured cost of regular parts, you could eaily do rotors calipers and pads for under 250. Its a cobalt, i'm not spending the money on a top brand big brake kit. Now when I saw big brake, I dont even necessisarily mean HUGE, 1 inch would be an acceptable gain! I want to spend the money on good pads, good strong calipers, and save some money on a cheaper rotor, (non slotted).

Unless you go used, youre not gonna be able to upgrade beyond stock size AT ALL for $300.

Short of custom drilled rotors, there is only ONE rotor I know of thats bigger than the stock 256mm and would be compatible with all GM parts. In europe theyve got a little trucklet that uses a 280mm rotor that fits our car, but you would still need to go buy SS/SC calipers and mounting brackets

rgr that i guess i'm stickin w/ stock sizes then and going for after market replacements.
