I have a 2008 cobalt 2.2 how much of the ecotec family is interchangeable ?

 

07 and 08 L61 engines are the same. 05 and 06 L61's are different from the 07 and 08 (something with the head, cam sensor I think) and cannot be swapped in easily. 09 and 10 2.2s are the LAP which has VVT unlike the L61.

 

it would be easier to tell us what you want to do, and we can tell you if it's possible or not.
