do they make perfomance chips for the colbalt yet. if so what company.

No they do not, and never will make performance chips for the Cobalt.

Our cars have flash rom computers. You don't change the chip, you reprogram the computer directly. But we can't even do that yet.

If you are referring to the "performance chips" on e-bay, they are nothing but a resister and they claim they give you 25 HP+ and better gas mileage.

If that simple add-on gave that much of a boost in performance don't you think GM would be using them?

Don't waste your money!!!
