LSD kit for the 2.2 manuals

2006 Chevy Cobalt X-Treme Limited Slip Kit | eBay

Anyone care to shed some info about this? Do you think it's for real or would work properly? It almost sounds to good to be true. And before you say don't get it cause it's on ebay, it's also for sale on a few websites as well.

My suggestion would be not to buy a $300 limited slip differential from eBay.

It's not even a differential. It's a differential "conversion kit". You take out your factory open diff, crack it open, and install this **** in it to "transform" it into a limited-slip diff.

No. Just. NO.

Yup, except the ones TTR mentioned from TeamGREEN don't suck. The guy that makes them had one in his car, it made 500+whp and ran 11's.

Are they as good as a true LSD, no.

Do they work considering the price, yes.

Would I buy one from Phantom Grip, no.

Would I buy one from TeamGREEN, yes.

OP, take TTR's advice and contact that guy...its good ****.

I know brags is going with the team green insert. Idk if he has it in yet but they seem to be better than the phantom grip ones. I'm saving up for a quaife myself.

How much do you think it costs to get an LSD installed?

My team green is in now, love it. First autocross with it was a success, no more one tire fire lol. Install was pretty cheap around $400

That's not bad. The lsd itself is only around $250.
