LT to SS?
im tempted to trade in my cobalt lt 2.2l for a cobalt ss 2.4l, should i? i upgrading as easy as the 2.2l? would i have more horsepower bolt ons with the 2.2 than the 2.4?

Well it wouldnt be like I said, just a trade, but, i notice theres more restrictions on bolt ons and such. seems easier to bolt this on, for just a small less horsepower gain.

His car is payed off...... Why would he want a car payment for something marginally faster???? Or spend a few bucks on a turbo kit??? What do you think would be the smarter choice here?

Here's the other thought to consider - how many miles on your car vs the other car. If it's a straight trade, I'm going to guess the 2.4 has significantly more miles. It doesn't ALWAYS mean more problems, but it definitely raises the chances of it. Also, you know your own car's issues......trading for another used car is risky. You could be inheriting a headache that the other person doesn't want to deal with.
For marginal gains, I would say stick with what you have.
