may get a balt but need something answered
you gonna buy some chrome letters and put Chiahuahua on your back window too?
If you have deep pockets it will be fast. I know you don't like superchargers. But what is your reasoning? It will be way more reliable then a homemade turdbo. If you turbo it do it the right way. And I would build the motor. Our 2.2 bottom ends are straight weak sauce
im not worried about blowing a 2.2. hell i know where there is about 10 crates of them brand new gm send us a hell of a lot to tear apart while i was at school. i just dont they always seemed lame. never driven one and have only driven one turbo car and that was just a new regal. my plan is to get a 2.0 like previously mentioned and do a few things to the bottom end and maybe a small cam but build a turbo kit around the stock 2.2. im pretty sure it would work with both motors but im an LS guy soi could be wrong.
If you wanna swap the lsj or LNf in you have to rewire most of the car as well as harnesses. I had to do that just to go from 06 to 07 engine. If it doesn't worry you build the 2.2 turbo and keep boost low it should last awhile long as the tune is decent. Your only option is trifecta and good luck with them. As far as the tranny goes I have the same one and so far it's holding up pretty good. Going to need a stronger clutch in yours though
Why don't you just buy an SS coupe that comes factory ready to make power and throw the base model trim/bumpers etc on it. I'm sure someone with a base model wouldn't think twice about swapping out for SS appearance.
double the price of the car. it seems like i could do my own thing and spend 9 grand with the cost of the car and be ready to do some rape and not have to worry about trading with people.
yeah but this car is 6 an SS around here is about double that. i have found a complete SS/SC motor with harness for 1200. same thing with my silverado i got a base model for less than half of an SS i can would kill an SS at the track.
I do smells troll though.
my suggestion if you fiddling around in the suspention swap the swaybar endlinks to moog ones. save yourself the hassle of doing it later on. the joints in the OEM endlinks just don't hold up.
