I agree it's loud at times, but I love the tone.

Oh and I will have my used one for sale this week sometime if anyone is interested. It's 6 months old in great condition. Asking 225 plus shipping. That's about 100 off list.

the silencer is a little baffle you put in the tail pipe. It uses 2 thumb screws. can be done in less than 30 seconds

Yeah its pretty quiet with the Baffle installed although I've never wanted to keep mine on since I tried it out shortly after I purchased it new. Good looking exhaust though!!! One of the loudest exhausts I've heard from any Cobalt when the baffle is removed....

Hey guys, I have a 2008 cobalt ls manual and all it has is spark plugs and a cold air intake. Will this still make the exhaust louder? I really do plan on buying one but I would like a couple more opinions before I get it. Thanks

Just two more questions tho, where did y'all buy it from and the ss supercharged cat back system will fit the 2.2l right?

I just got mine from NGAmotorsports on sale for $295 shipped. And it fits the 2.2 well. The end of the tip stops just short of the bumper, so it doesn't stick out too much. It hangs a little low before the rear axle, so I'm not sure about lowered cars. Any ideas on how to fix this from others?

Yea, it's a nice & deep tone, I can feel it in the seat. As for loud, I set car alarms off eariler in a parking garage. My neighbors all have harley's so they don't say much. Just go for it, you won't be dissapointed.
