You can, it wont hurt, but it won't gain you anything either. The car is tuned for 87, so run 87...

If you really want to waste the $ just paypal me the extra $2/fillup

Yeah, it is here in Iowa too, i hate the ethanol blend though, i seem to average 3-5mpg less on 89 than i do 87, so i use 87. its only 13 cents more and the balt seems to like it more anyways.

Funny, I see no difference with ethanol blends. 10% of ethanol will not reduce your MPG. You may just need driver mod. Or maintenance mod.

There are countless threads on this topic, take a look around.

It will not harm your 2.2.

Just don't purchase Shell gas, or any middle eastern oil for the matter.

yeah, unless you get a tune from someone, just run it on 87. I'm running on 93, cause i have to, in order to achieve full power with the current tune i have from trifecta. I dont mind at all spending a few more dollars to achieve more power.

Whats the scoop on Shell gas? I heard it was really good for your engine.

It's that "top-tier" stuff that has extra cleaning additives, and from what I've heard, it is good gas.

I think pdub doesn't like it because Shell buys it from middle eastern countries...much better to support Hugo Chavez...

This is a pointless comment... you should factor in more than just performance. It is way cheaper here so I want to pinch some pennies.
