need help on A 2.2 INTAKE

i just got my car and i have a 2.2. i wanted to know how to put in an intake w/o using the sensor. i put one in myself and then i started my car nd it went lower than 500 Rpms. how can i do it without the sensor or should i just buy the adaptor and then just out the intake on???
also if i should get the adaptor , where can i get it at??

if your tlaking about the MAF you NEED that for your car to run. Do it right and buy a real intake such as the Injen or K&N or AEM....

:S ouch man sorry. Ya you def. need to have the sensor or else your car will run like ****. I would say you are prly gonna have to fab one up yourself...or if you can get someone to buy it from you and use the money to get this one. A lot of 2.2L are buying this one b/c its only 49.99. https://advancedjdmparts.com/product...roductid=19767

Also if you want to see what a lot of us have said about this intake here is a thread all about it

Yeah, um...

If your car doesn't know how much air it is taking in it doesn't know how much fuel to add, and that isn't a very efficient way of doing things.

Or I have a Fujita for sale right now that will fit your car, the MAF hooks right to it, and is only $160 shipped. It needs a home...

NOT always true, but the path to eliminate the MAF isn't always the best or cheapest. In order to eliminate the MAF you need to give your car theoretical airflow tables to run off of and considering your looking at $500+ for the tuning program to do that...I'd say the $30 intake from jdmparts.com is a heckuva deal...considering i have one and I think, as paris hilton says, "thats hot."
