Need Help!

Ok my brother in-law has a 2006 ls with the 2.2. it has been drinking coolant so we replaced the head gasket. everything is back together but we aren't getting fuel. we took the fuel rail off and tried turning it over but there was no fuel out of the injectors. the #1 cylinder did get a fire out of it so were have spark. could the timing be off and cause the injectors not to fire? any help would be appreciated. if you have any ideas could you please text me at 1-920-296-2295 asap names matt

not firing at all would mean that there is probably a connection issue (harness or similar?)

idk weve checked all the connectors. everythings hooked up. the fuel rail is primed, there was a burst of flame out of the injector hole with the rail out so there is spark. its pissing us off lol

ok so we re-set the timing. we made sure that the crank and the cams were all in the right spots according to the haynes manual. we actually pulled the fuel rail off with the injectors in and turned the car over. fuel spit from all 4 injectors. theres no spark. we checked the spark plugs. there fine. his engine has a one peice coil pack and everything is hooked up. any ideas on how to get this pos running?
