hey just wondering if the only available for the 2.2's is still trifecta?

 

if your 07 up you can hptune

 

I'm an 07, is there vendors or just randoms who offer it?

 

You would have to find someone local who tunes with HPT or but HPT yourself and find someone that can tune using that software or tune yourself(if yoiu know how)

 

I tried working on my brother inlaws 06 ls 2.2 and it wouldn't allow me to read the vcm but it showed the vin # as an 08 LOL

 

but im an 07, I believe different positioning of the cam sensors allows HPT to work for 07 and up

 

yeah.when hpt was 1st working on the E37a ecu,my car would come up as an 06 ion(im a 2007 cobalt lol)They only unlocked the E37a ecu because theres other platforms that use it as well.The E16a(05-06) is only in the cobalt so its not worth there time to unlock it

05-06 didnt have cam sensors.only 2007 and up do
