new gmpp intake installed!! w/vid

now , i know i splurged too much, and bought it for probably the most i've heard anyone buy it for, but i dont care lol. 351.somechange. i called the nearest dealer and they said they'd have it in within a few hours so i had to. i'm very impatient. i think its worth it for the warranty and everything.

anyways, you can feel it. was a very easy install, however i wasnt very comfortable with how it connected to the throttle body. definately gets looks! i had my friend drive it while i stood outside, and man. you can hear it over the exhaust.(til a little distance)

heres the difference:

WITHOUT INTAKE:

WITH INTAKE:

0-60 with special appearance by : FLOCK OF SEAGULLS!! lol, i couldnt help it, it was on the radio.

and my 0-60 is actually faster...my speedometer is slow and when its at 60 its more like 65..i've tested it on one of those police billboards. i think when the dealership put the package on with the wheels, they didnt flash the computer with the new tire size.

1 all canadian parts are way over priced. I paid 4 bills for my K/N 2. No the heat sheild does not restrict it does what it says...sheilds heat lol. 3. acording to a post made a week ago AEM has the best flowing filter, k/n traps the most dirt. hope that helps

you can buy a bypass filter which goes where the cold air and the warm air seperate. The injen already comes with one. i don't know if the AEM does. Basicly in the event that you drive through a puddle and the filter becomes vapor locked, the intake draws air from another filter up stream so the motor doesn't be come a $20000 straw lol

Why does everyone keep calling it a SRI? It is picking up air from the stock intake tube in the fender. Does this not make it CAI?

I have the AEM for my SS and havent had any problems although I did get the filter pretty wet when I ran it through the car wash.
