if im not mistaken the s/c oil lasts quite a bit longer than motor oil. so the dealershit probably didn't change it anyway.

GM sells special supercharger oil i believe too. so if you wanted the convenience of going to the dealershit and buying it there without having to deal with ordering it they should carry some.

motor oil that came in the 2.2 was dino oil. conventional.

i use mobile 1 5w-30 which indeed is synthetic.

i wouldn't worry too much for now what oil you got in the motor, just swap to synthetic next time if you really want to.

just make sure to think through your answer next time to the tech guy lol. it should be fine for now though.

When I had a GTP I believe I generally changed the supercharger oil every 30,000 miles. I would assume the Eaton on Cobalts would use the same oil. I've used both the GM supercharger oil and the oil that ZZP sells, which I believe is the same stuff.

^^What he said...every 30,000 miles on the supercharger and you should be good. Definitely run a full synthetic next time. The stock SS/SCs require it, so you should use it for your app too.
