Well, I have a question then. My old 06 2.2L manifold had NOTHING on that small port on the manifold, in essence it was just a seal.

Do you have a P/N for it also a rough price estimation?

The L61 has the orifice(a specific size hole) molded right into the manifold, thats why there was just a seal, the LE5 manifold doesnt have the hole molded in, it uses a metal plate with the orifice in it, they are under $10, the part number should be in my howto or at least 5 other places in the2.4 threads

Well, I called CED to get the PN. However, the 2.4 mani I got online was a part number beginning with 126 something. I suppose its a 08 2.4 mani since the 05-06 were part number 125 something. I also read somewhere that the orifice was built into the 08 mani which I persume I have.

Despite what happens the part is ordered and what will I see once I take the mani off, mind you the plate I fabbed did not completely seal off the port ( the round parts, since sheet metal is hard to trim using scissors.

Would I see some oil in the manifold or what?

Here is a crappy rendering of what it would look like. The black is the actual port. The silver would be the sheetmetal. Mind you that again the curving was far from perfect which should be fine since the hole on the plate from what I saw after your post is quite tiny.

Anyways, your input is greatly welcomed

Not on a 6.1 it isnt (just one intake manifold) it's cast aluminum.

the 5.7 cars get plastic intake manifolds. And thats not a bad thing. Only reason the SRT motor didnt get one was the time and expense to make it happen in time to meet production.
