i see a lot of cars on here and youtube (lol) that don't have cats. how do you pass inspection? i don't have emissions here so i don't know if they'll check but i'm asking because i'm ordering my header/dp combo soon and i wanted to order the catless dp but will i pass inspection? what do i do?

 

i have heard that when you get it tuned..the tuner can tune the cat code out and it wont show up when they plug in the OBD2 reader..

I'm confused, you don't have an emissions inspection, why are you concerned...do you have a vehicle inspection of some sort?

we have basic vehicle inspection. they don't do smog testing or whatever else.. but i don't know if they still check to see if you have a cat

i think thats what we have..just plug in the OBD2 thing and read..
i doubt the workers there would do any more work than they have too..
if nothing else you could bash your cat out..so it looks like it is there?

 

mine passed :p really depend on the inspector, as long as you dont have a CEL it depends on the inspector, and how hard they "inspect"

 

Most inspectors would let you pass but you might get a mean one that cares too much.
