Quaife LSD for the 2.2l?

Has anyone with the 2.2l engine ordered a Quaife LSD from Dezod yet? I am curious because they seem to be the only company selling the LSD and i would like to make sure that the product that they are selling actually is in existence.

I just went to TTR and the LSD for the 2.2 was $1500.

I believe for the 2.0 it was $1000

And then you have to disasemble the trans/diff to put the LSD in

So if you had a reputable shop do it, the total would be like $2500

We don't really need it anyways...until we go f/i

I guess that I should make it my goal to have to buy a LSD.

There's always the option of using a LSD insert. Can be had for 200-300. Not as good as a true lsd like the quaife but it still helps.

Any car will be better with LSD even if we only have "145 HP". But yea it would be alot higher on my priority list if i was going f/i.....

Especially if you drive in the snow. My parent's Sentra with snow tyres and an LSD had an easier time getting out of their driveway last year than a 4x4 Ranger.

I used a phantom grip in my 98 Neon. I picked up the Tranny off ebay and it was already installed. It worked really well. I had no issues at all with it. But keep in mind the car was a a DOHC, 3.94 tranny, only mods were an iceman intake, pacesetter header and a home made side dump exhaust.

I was going to install the Quaife in my SRT-4 but that never happened. I've only heard excellent things about them in the Neon line.

i also didn't have continentals on the car. my tires were still good after 34000 miles when i sold the car. never had any traction issues with them.

I wasnt saying ur being a dick but you owned a 2.2 at one time, so i totally agree with you on how the money could be spent some where else.
