if i was stock, or just had basic boltons, there is no need for guages.

The stock water temp gauge is very accurate, wideband in the pillar is a little too racy for me, oil temp is cool to say you have, but your not gonna wanna see it as high as it really needs to be and youll have to drill most likley for install, oil pressure is something I like to be able to keep a better eye on than the PCM does, the car wont set any lights or codes until your below about 15psi, and you should have 50 at idle, so I like to have an oil pressure gauge. How about an Interceptor?

Thats actually my combo, oil pressure in an SS/SC pillar and an Interceptor(coming) in a custom install

Maven you do not need to drill for the oil temp/pressure gauge. We have bolts on the side of our heads you can screw the sender into. Thats how i installed mine and it works like a charm.

Im boosted 2.2L and im running; Boost, Water temp, Oil temp. Now if you plan on using your stock water temp gauge, i suggest you get a EGT gauge instead.

No drilling for psi move the stock sender to any other gallery plug, put ur sender in that one , u will need a m12x1.75 adapter, ttr carries it, plug that to the block and ur 1/8th sender to it and run to gauge, that easy same for oil temp but oil temp u can do on any gallery plug

Mkulrey, WTF do you need an EGT gauge for on an NA Cobalt? Not too mention you need to install it in the exhaust, and your looking $200 minimum.( I want one, Ive got an extra hole in my header )

What oil temp gauge are you using that the sender fits in one of the plugs on the head?

^^^ that plugs into the gallery plug hole, than you plug the sender on that, its got a m12x1.75 male, and 1/8 female, so you see how it works no drilling or tapping ****

get a wideband! you wont need it really until your boosted, but once your boosted, its one of the most crucial things to watch
