Removing Drum to get to hub
I use a screwdriver to get them loose. If you remove the rubber grommet on the back towards the rear of the car you gain access to the auto adjuster for the rear shoes. You need to push in on the little metal flange and turn the star wheel to loosen the brakes and the drum should slide off easily depending how much of a lip there is from the shoes.
Depending on the design of the shims, the bolts come from the rear, you might not even have to remove the drum. Just loosen it up and put the shims in.
You guys must of got lucky because here's what I had to do to get mine off. Adjust the shoes all the way in, pull on drum, no luck. Acquire BFH, hit the drum several times, pull on drum, no luck. Spray PB blaster all over the hub and around the wheel studs, commence beating the **** out of the drum in pure rage, finally comes off with some coaxing. Then, for me, it was on to the fun part of actually replacing the shoes lol. May the man who invented drum brakes burn in hell for eternity.
so you're gonna do -3....-5 all the way around? lol
oh and which side on your car is rubbing the most? passenger or driver?

Sorry Zachary, yes just unbolt the damn hub and put the shim in. lol But as a side note, my car rubs terribly on the drivers side and virtually none on the passenger side. weird.
