I'll get one special order for you tomorrow haha. I think there is a leak in it somewhere but I'll have to start it cold sometime to see if I can see it. Either that or I'm just not used to a little rasp with a gutted downpipe lol

I always wanted to do this to my base model. Never panned out. But I do have a catless zzp downpipe i'm planning on selling if you're interested instead of a gutted one. I saw you were in IL and was hoping you were close to MO but you're definitely not. lol
Btw, only relevant because you're doing this in Padlocks garage but I totally have his stock TC seats

Thats my car now, minus the stickers on the back.
Sandman, it is 2.5". Is your car a manaul or auto? Its for a manual. Has the o2 bungs for a 2.2 and has the 3 bolt/ 2 bolt flanges, not vband.

Man i had my cat gutted. Drove me absolutely ******* nuts. Raspy and the loudness got on my nerves during my 7 hr road trip.

I put a cherry bomb in before da muffler ( magnaflow ) and fell in love again. Cost you $50 if you got a welder, $100 if not lol.

I was a little upset cuz i thought it was too quiet. And it is quiet inside the car, but i got a friend to romp around when i stood outside. Waay louder than i thought but much better sounding

El gauge de boost has arrived today.

I might get a different downpipe depending on how much I dislike this one on a longer trip

Keep the catless for the flow, and get a quieter muffler or a resinator ( cherry bomb ) with your loud muffler to save your sanity !!!

It saves your ears and head with still packing a loud punch when you want i haz promised !!!!!!!

I got a zzp catback now and I like that. I used to be all stock with a glasspack found on the side of the road in place of the muffler and I liked that too haha. The rasp is only under a little load so its not like that while cruising. I dont know a whole lot about exhaust theory but maybe the gutted cat causes the rasp because its pretty much a small spot with at least twice the area of the rest of the piping that screws with the exhaust flow making it sound funny

I think so too. Bout the gutted cat theory. Becuz it gets BAD. I got same set up as you. Gutted cat, into cherry bomb, into magnaflow.

Quiet when crusing, no rasp ever, and really wakea up when you hit it. At first i was sad it was so quiet , but no its only quiet in the car. Outside the car it suprised me how loud it still was.
Dont get me wrong, i love loud, it was just Too loud and drive me nuts. I never been happier with my exhaust till now.

Ill get a video in warm weather.

Finally cold enough to exhaust leak check the downpipe on monday and it seems to be fine and ironically it wasn't that raspy that day either lol. Talked to padlock yesterday and its best in both of our interests to wait until next fall to do it. We are both too damn busy as its coming towards the end of the semester. This will give me time to get some painting done on the blower and other parts of the car and pick up those "extras" I may or may not need for the build. I picked up some of those fancy sanders that attach to a drill yesterday because I am going to be doing some body paint over the summer and I hope that goes well!
